Christmas Day weather today came into view on the the NOAA supercomputer’s long range weather model. According to the forecast – which at this long range must be considered relatively unreliable – New Zealand is in for a mild Christmas day with temperatures ranging from 13 degrees in the south through to 20 degrees in the north.
The forecast map above shows a high pressure system moving away to the East and what looks like a tropical rain event about to strike Northland.
