Telecom Introduces Prepaid Cheaper Calling

Telecom Introduces Cheaper Calling For Prepaid Customers

Telecom has launched a new calling plan for prepaid 027 mobile customers.

Customers on the Go Prepaid Mates’ Rates plan can now call any Telecom mobile phone or landline and pay a flat 49c per minute rate regardless of whether the call is made during peak or off-peak times.

Customers can also call Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and Ireland at the same 49c per minute rate. Calls made to 021 or 029 mobile phones and to the rest of the world are charged at $1.39 per minute.

Mates’ Rates also includes Telecom’s popular $10 TXT for 500 national person to person texts a month, ensuring Prepaid customers receive the best value calling and texting combination.

Telecom will also credit its Go Prepaid customers $10 if they register online at http://www.telecom.co.nz/matesrates before 30 September 2004.

Telecom Mobile General Manager Kevin Kenrick said Telecom was committed to providing the best value for calling and texting.

“Cheaper calling rates together with $10 TXT makes Go Prepaid Mates’ Rates the best value plan for prepaid mobile currently in the market,” Mr Kenrick said.
