Turbulent Flux brings together the experiences of people caught in constant transit in a show that combines live music, film and performance.

Over a dozen interviews with travellers, tramps, refugees and day-trippers form the raw material for an intriguing monologue delivered by one performer, with the aid of a pianist, original video footage and a cinema of ever changing dimensions. There is the rock star letting off fireworks in the Arizona desert; the six year old sleeping rough at Heathrow; the political refugee combing the hills for a small piece of something which might resemble home. Is this the story of a lifetime played out many times or many lifetimes condensed into one?

Turbulent Flux draws us into the minds and bodies of characters who are defined by the vast journeys they have made, arriving at the universal questions: where is it exactly that I am going? and how will I know when I have arrived?
