National MP Bill English is presently being interviewed live on Radio New Zealand’s Kim Hill on board a bus which appears to be about to run s11 protest lines outside the Crown Casino in Melbourne.
He said the bus was waiting to move and was surrounded by riot police. Last night around 20 protestors were injured when the bus fleet left the Crown Casino compound.
Bill English said he the protests did not feel non-violent anymore with some people dressed in balaclavas who looked like "bank robbers. Mr English said projectiles had broken windows when the bus last ran the gauntlet.
Mr English also said that the protestors views were being discussed extensively inside the WEF. That said he was becoming increasingly frustrated with the protests.
"I think it matters more what Bill Gates says than what Nandor Tanczos says when it comes to the future of my children," he told Kim Hill. "We should be allowed to come and go."
It is now 8.20am in Melbourne.
