Current Account Deficit Contains No Surprises

Balance of Payment statistics released moments ago by the
Department of Statistics contain no surprises say
economists.
The deficit for the year to June was 7.54
Billion, 7.1% of GDP and roughly the same as revised BOP
figures issued last week.
The quarterly figure was $1.392
billion which compares with $1.181 billion for the previous
year.
On a seasonally adjusted basis the deficit has
improved for the past two quarters.
