More Crap Weather For Dubya

Residents of Washington D.C. must be wondering what has happened to their summer. Rain band after rain band has been sweeping over the US capital for several weeks. And according to the NOAA super-computer the rains are far from finished yet. Meanwhile, Sludge, as is his habit, is quick to read far more into this than meets the eye.

As the picture above shows, on June 1st US President George “Dubya” Bush’s home town is due to receive yet another direct hit from a low pressure rain event. Sludge guesses this could well be an indication that Dubya has been planning a further announcement concerning his, global-warming-be-damned, energy crisis policy.

One might have thought that in the wake of the events that followed his last Energy Crisis policy announcement (See… Sludge Report #64 - Damp Arrival For Energy Plan and Severe Weather Greets US Energy Crisis Plans) – namely the resignation from the GOP of Senator Jeffords – that Dubya and his crew might have by now learned their lesson. However if the weather is any guide, then it would appear not.

As the picture above shows, it is too bad that New York appears to also be in the path of Dubya’s latest storm. Perhaps Dubya has been planning a trip to the big apple?
