Poll Watch: Marae Digipoll - Maori Seats Labour's

According to a Marae Digipoll published over the weekend Labour is set to comfortably win all seven Maori seats, meanwhile five times as many Maori voters support Labour as support the next most supported party, the Greens.

Mana Maori Party 3.4%

All other parties polled under 2%

Sample size 2302 voters from the Maori and general rolls, poll taken from July 6 to 17.

Maori Electorate Standings – Top Two

Te Tai Tokerau – Labour’s Dover Samuels 44%, independent Mere Mangu 9%;
Tamaki Makaurau – Labour’s John Tamihere 56%, Green’s Metiria Turei 8%;
Tainui – Labour’s Nanaia Mahuta 53%, Alliances’ Willie Jackson 17%;
Te Tai Hauauru – Labour’s Tariana Turia 60%, Mana Maori’s Ken Mair 9%;
Waiariki – Labour’s Mita Ririnui 51%, Mana Maori’s Rihi Vercoe 13;
Ikaroa-Rawhiti – Labour’s Parekura Horomia 77%, Mana Maori’s Glenis Philip-Barbara 3%;
Te Tai Tonga – Labour’s Mahara Okeroa 51%, Mana Maori’s Jacqui Amohanga 5% and Alliance’s Vern Winitana 5%.

Sample size 1564 voters from the Maori roll, poll taken from July 6 to 17.
