Luna Rossa ITA 80 will leave today
the Team Prada base to be transferred to the yard where team
designers and technicians will carry out modifications to
the hull to enhance its performance.
At the same time the
development of Luna Rossa ITA 74 continues as this boat will
be used also for Round Robin Two of the Louis Vuitton Cup
2002-2003.
Luna Rossa ITA 80 will be back in the water the first week of November.
Yesterday, the Race Committee, after waiting for hours for the wind to build up and stabilize on course Juliet where the match between Luna Rossa ITA 74 and Mascalzone Latino ITA 72 was to take place, decided to cancel the race for the day. The same fate fell for the match between Oracle and Victory, while the other two races on the calendar were completed. The Italian match is rescheduled to one of the reserve days at the end of the Round Robin.
