Article: Alastair Thompson
Scoop Editor Alastair Thompson is spending this week
half-way up Mt Ruapehu, the largest volcano in the central
volcanic region of New Zealand’s North Island.
The
following two images were taken at the beginning and end of
a perfect day on Whakapapa, our third perfect day. The first
image shows Ngauruhoe in all her pristine splendour, the
second a glimpse of the summit of Ruapehu through the
mountain cloud that settled around Whakapapa this evening.
