Monday 10 Nov 2003: 8.30am The viral email went around 'faster than blaster'. 8000 flights to be given away on Freedomair.com, they even advertised "Birthday Specials" this on the front page of the site, internet specials only.
By 10 am the site was barely loading, some images did most didn't, then at about 11-45 all hell must have broken loose, no more freedomair.com.
It is now 1.44 pm and still no freedomair.com, hey I want my free flight!, and I WILL hit refresh on browser every 10 minutes (if they are still wondering.)
Some terrible lessons have been learned this morning I imagine, I can almost hear the heads rolling in the corridors of Air NZ.
A website, a website after a sauna, a website wearing umm white....
