NEWSFLASH: Seabed Hikoi Reaches Harbour Bridge

Scoop's reporter on the scene Selywn Manning reports that a Hikoi around 2000 strong is presently making its way up the Northern side of the Auckland Harbour Bridge. Low cloud and rain this morning appear not to have dampened the turn out too much.

Meanwhile in Wellington Labour's Caucus have entered an "all day" caucus meeting at Premiere House to discuss the contentious Seabed and Foreshore Bill. The PM is expected to hold a press conference at the conclusion of this meeting, but the time of that is not yet known.

Last night Labour Associate Maori Affairs Minister Tariana Turia said publicly she would vote against the bill.

Today's Labour Party Parliamentary caucus today will discuss what to do about Ms Turia and her fellow MP Nania Mahuta, who has also indicated she will cross the floor to vote against the bill when it returns to the house next week.

The PM's comments on Ms Turia's announcement can be read in Scoop reporter Kevin List's report on yesterday's post cabinet Press Conference:
