Ultra-Orthodox Jews Protest Sexy Advertising

In Jerusalem, Sarah Jessica Parker, the former star of Sex and the City, had a billboard featuring her in a skimpy, spaghetti strap dress removed after complaints from Orthodox Jews who were offended by the ad.
The billboards featuring Parker promoting Lux soap were plastered throughout Israel.
One leading rabbi contacted the distributor and threatened to start a boycott of the product line. Ultra-orthodox Jews comprise ten percent of the population.
Unilever almost immediately replaced the posters with ones of Parker in a more modest outfit.
"We decided to make her dress more suitable for the winter weather," said a marketing manager for Unilever.
