Progress in cabinet – not threats
Fifteen dollars a month rebate on power bills during
winter for all superannuitants is a cornerstone commitment
for the Progressive Coalition, candidate Matt Robson told a
meeting of Greypower members in Christchurch today.
“But we need as many voices as possible around the Cabinet table to make it happen.
“That means not only a vote for Jim Anderton, but a party vote for the Progressive Coalition too.
“We want to take realistic steps towards free health, and we can do that in cabinet. Our first steps will be free GP visits for all school kids and then free GP visits for all superannuitants.
“The Clark-Anderton government is the most popular government in more than thirty years. The Progressive Coalition will continue that partnership.
“We want progress in government, not threats.
“In the last two and half years we have increased the rate of superannuation by over $40 a week and introduced a secure super fund.
“This is just a start. In a few weeks time, with your help, we can get back to work,” says Matt Robson.
