Hodgson under pressure
The Minister of Energy is under considerable stress, judging by the way he has reacted to concerns over likely electricity shortages by 2005, says National's Energy spokesman Gerry Brownlee.
"Mr Hodgson would prefer the Opposition not to point out failings in his portfolio that are obvious to everyone else.
"In the spirit of cooperation I am willing to offer the Minister a full briefing on the Transpower System Security Forecast, the Energy Supply and Demand to 2015 report by Mr Brian Leyland and the analysis of that report by Dr Tom Halliburton.
"This can be arranged at short notice, provided he apologises for his silly outbursts and recognises that Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition have a duty to point out when a Minister doesn't know what he's doing," said Mr Brownlee.
