Release Papers says McCully
Government attempts to shut down the Dr Ross Armstrong saga have been dismissed by National's acting Broadcasting spokesman as "clumsy and weak."
Murray McCully says the National Party has lodged a significant number of requests under the Official Information Act for documents regarding Dr Armstrong's expenses at TVNZ, NZ Post and Industrial Research.
He says none of those requests have yet been responded to.
"A few soothing words from the Government are no substitute for pieces of paper with names, dates and numbers on them," he says.
"If information provided to the National Party by usually reliable sources is verified by the material which the Government is obliged to release, then this matter is very far from being closed."
"If the Prime Minister wants to put the matter behind her she should release the papers which we have requested," Mr McCully says
