United Future law and order spokesman and
long time Sensible Sentencing Trust advocate, Marc Alexander
MP has been given the position of Deputy Chair on
Parliament's Law and Order select committee.
Expressing his pleasure at the appointment, Mr Alexander said "Obviously my association with issues regarding the criminal justice system, and being an advocate of reform to place victims' interests at centre stage, has given me a passionate interest to serve the Law & Order Select Committee to the best of my ability."
Mr Alexander is a first-term list MP, based in Christchurch.
