King appoints Tairawhiti DHB chair
Health Minister Annette King today announced the appointment of Ingrid Nea Collins as chair of the board of Tairawhiti District Health Board (DHB).
Ms King said Mrs Collins has played a
significant governance role at Tairawhiti DHB since serving
on the transitional board in 2000. She has been Acting
Chair for the past six months, and prior to that was
Deputy-Chair. “I have much pleasure in making this
appointment. Mrs Collins is a long-term resident of
Tairawhiti and was elected to the board by the community.
She has been actively involved in community health services
for some years and has brought a valuable perspective on
issues facing the board. “I am also pleased to be able to
provide the board with stability of leadership, and look
forward to continuing to work with Tairawhiti DHB to address
the population’s health
needs.”
