More Evidence Against Cannabis

New Zealand First MP Craig McNair said Nelson coroner Ian Smiths’ warning about cannabis use is more evidence to not decriminalize use of the drug.

“The coroner said he was sick and tired of cannabis being a background feature in deaths,” said Mr McNair.

“Recently a Wellington coroner also warned the Government about decriminalising cannabis when he reported on two deaths that were cannabis related

“We are continually hearing evidence against decriminalising, yet there are still people campaigning for their right to use this drug legally, including politicians.

“New Zealand First believes cannabis must remain as an illegal substance for the sake of the youth in this country,” said Mr Mcnair.
