Labour's Maori separatist programme revealed

Labour's Maori separatist programme revealed

Taxpayers' money is being used to teach civil servants about Maori separatism, says National Leader Bill English.

"National has discovered amongst documents used for Treaty education programmes in the civil service a diagram that reveals the agenda for Maori separatism, funded by taxpayers and backed by the Government.

"The diagram shows a progression towards the separation of Maori and Pakeha, followed by a kind of partnership. New Zealand is still apparently in the early stages of separatism.

"These documents show New Zealanders have every right to feel uneasy about Labour's secretive constitutional agenda.

"National believes in one standard of citizenship. These documents reveal the Government is headed in completely the opposite direction," said Mr English.
