Impressive results in NZ Music Month quiz

The results are in, and Trevor Mallard (Labour) and Pita Paraone (NZ First) have won Judith Tizard’s 2003 New Zealand Music Month quiz.

Mr Mallard and Mr Paraone both scored 100% in the 20-Question quiz, while Rod Donald (Green) and Brian Donnelly (NZ First) tied for second equal with 19 ½ out of 20.

“I was impressed that none of the MPs scored less than 15 ½ out of 20,” said Judith Tizard. “The improvement in the standard of replies to the NZ Music Month Quiz 2003 shows an increased awareness among MPs of New Zealand music.

“I’m delighted that MPs took the time to get to know their New Zealand music. I congratulate all who entered and I hope they enjoyed finding out more about the wonderful music that surrounds us.”

Judith Tizard also awarded a NZ Music Month Kiwi Hit Disc to the New Zealand First Caucus for best group effort, and awarded Minister of Agriculture, Trade Negotiations, Biosecurity, Forestry and Rural Affairs, Jim Sutton, a NZ Music Month key ring and Kiwi Hit Disc for most improved participant.
