Meat and wool vote a good result
National's Agriculture spokesman, David Carter, says it's a relief that farmers are supporting a new structure for the country's meat and wool industries.
"Considering the current anger over the Government-termed "animal emissions levy", livestock industry leaders were rightly concerned that farmers would turn their backs on this important referendum.
"Farmers must be congratulated for putting aside their anti stance on the flatulence tax, and going ahead with the vote on this levy .
"It is a good result for the meat and wool industries," says Mr Carter.
