Peter Dunne’s vision of himself as Prime Minister is “screamingly funny”, according to New Zealand First leader Rt Hon Winston Peters.

Mr Peters said Mr Dunne’s prediction today that voters would turn to United Future in the future was either straight from a comedy script or caused through sniffing too many fumes from the nearby Green Party in Bowen House.

“Peter has been in so many parties and has taken so many policy positions on so many issues that he looks like some sort of political rainbow.

“Let me give him a friendly reminder that his present position as Helen Clark’s lapdog is due more to his pliability that his political potential.

“Don’t give up your day job is my best advice Peter,” advised Winston Peters.
