Dunne: Housing move spot on

United Future leader Peter Dunne today welcomed Government plans to capitalise benefits to allow low-income New Zealanders the chance to buy their own homes.

"This is good family stuff in an area that we have been working on and pushing," Mr Dunne said.

"It is about helping Kiwi families in a very practical way and is the kind of policy that United Future itself has been fine-tuning.

"We will be talking to the Government about how this can best be done, particularly within the scope of next year's Budget where we can give it some real movement," he said.

"This is a very positive initiative."
