Dunne opposes postie prying
United Future leader, Peter Dunne, has come out in strong opposition to the trial by New Zealand Post of wiring up posties to report on the state of people's houses on their routes to help NZ Post meet its business clients' needs.
“This trial seems a step too far. Posties are there to deliver the mail.
“At this rate, what next - will they be contracted by the Police to report on speeding motorists or cars without current WOFs parked in driveways?
“Most Kiwis regard their home as their castle - the last thing they expect is to be spied on by the postie,” said Mr Dunne.
