Brash speaks to candidates forum
National Party Leader Don Brash told National Party candidates, MPs and campaign volunteers this weekend that only National can deliver the changes that New Zealand must make if it is to move forward as a nation.
He was speaking at a campaign-planning forum at Parliament, which was attended by about 150 people over two days. The forum was also addressed by Deputy Leader Gerry Brownlee and other senior MPs.
Dr Brash said National will stop Labour’s culture of low expectations and restore confidence and standards in education, will establish one set of rules for everyone regardless of race, will target crime and welfare dependency, and will work to give every New Zealander a tax cut.
“There is so much that is great about our country but it can be much better. Only a National Government will make that a reality.
“National wants better for New Zealand.”
