Families Commission Appoints Interim Chief Executive

The Families Commission has appointed Elizabeth Rowe as its interim chief executive.

Ms Rowe has extensive public sector experience at a senior level in both management and policy areas. Her previous roles have included: General Manager of the Social Policy Agency, Chief Executive of the Ministry of Women's Affairs, Commissioner of the Employment Equity Commission and Assistant Commissioner at the State Services Commission.

Her role is expected to last three to four months, while the new organisation is set up and until a permanent chief executive is appointed.
