Tsunami Relief - NZDF Update 4

The NZDF now has two RNZAF C-130 Hercules operating out of Jakarta.

Both aircraft are today flying missions in to the Indonesian region of Aceh.

The first C-130 has already arrived in Banda Aceh and unloaded tents and oxygen as well as aid personnel.

Seventy refugees will be flown back to Jakarta on the aircraft.

Once in Jakarta the Hercules will be reloaded with humanitarian aid and is scheduled to make another trip to Banda Aceh at 4pm Jakarta time.

The second RNZAF C-130 Hercules is due to make its first flight in to Banda Aceh at 1pm Jakarta time.

The aircraft will be loaded with humanitarian aid.
