Tsunami Relief - NZDF Update 6

The Air Force C-130 Hercules operating out of Jakarta last night resumed flights in to Banda Ache.

The aircraft underwent scheduled maintenance on Saturday.

The Hercules left Jakarta at around 10pm (NZ time). It was carrying milk products, medical supplies and a number of passengers.

The aircraft is scheduled to make another flight in to Banda Ache today.

The other C-130 Hercules that had been flying in Indonesia, last night returned to New Zealand.

The aircraft and 14 people arrived at RNZAF Base** Whenuapai at 7pm.

The Hercules and crew that have returned will now continue with planned tasking, including supporting NZDF personnel rotations to Afghanistan.
