Scoop Link To Al-Jazeera - A Turkish Islamist group has claimed joint responsibility with al-Qaida for Thursday’s twin blasts in Istanbul that killed 27 and injured 450 even as Turkish security forces were placed on high alert.
Turkey’s state-owned Anatolia news agency received a statement purportedly from the Turkish radical group the Islamic Front of Raiders of the Greater East (IBDA-C) claiming responsibility for the attacks on the British consulate and the Turkish headquarters of HSBC Bank.
