COBB TO DEBATE BUSH & KERRY
Green Party presidential candidate David Cobb is doing everything he can to make sure the American people hear more than two frighteningly similar voices in this election.
Tonight, approximately one half hour following the televised, restricted corporate-sponsored debate between the two-party candidates, Cobb will answer the same questions posed during the debate through a webcast streamed live on the campaign's http://www.votecobb.org website.
On Friday, Cobb was arrested while trying to enter the second of the three corporate-sponsored debates in St. Louis. During the first debate from which he was also excluded in Miami, Cobb participated in an alternative debate with Libertarian presidential candidate Michael Badnarik.
"It is vitally important that the American people hear more than two incredibly similar viewpoints in this election. On the issue of Iraq, both two-party candidates support the continuation of an illegal and immoral occupation which is based on lies and deception. When it comes to health care, both two-party candidates want to tinker with a broken system rather than provide every single citizen with health insurance. The majority of Americans agree with the Green Party; we want our troops out of Iraq and we want health care for all. It's not just me that's being shut out of these debates, it's the voices of ordinary Americans who know we deserve better," said Cobb.
