Man Charged With Murder Following Homicide In Tauranga
A 23 year old male of Indian descent has today been charged with the murder of a 32 year old Indian woman in Tauranga.
He appeared in the Counties Manukau District Court today, and has been remanded to reappear in the Tauranga District Court on Thursday 10 June.
The man currently has name suppression until at least his second court appearance in Tauranga on Thursday. It may be extended at this time.
The murder charge comes after the body of the woman was discovered in a house in the Tauranga suburb of Otumoetai on Sunday 6 June.
