Operation Keppel - Carmen Thomas
Operation Keppel - Carmen Thomas
The man leading the Operation KEPPEL enquiry Acting Detective Inspector Mark Benefield says he’s encouraged by the public response so far to appeals for information on the whereabouts of missing Remuera woman Carmen Thomas.
The mother of one was last seen in Auckland on 1 July 2010 and was reported missing to Police on Tuesday 13 July 2010. There are 20 investigators deployed on enquiries today.
“Police are again at the Remuera house looking for any clues that may explain her disappearance. Friends, work colleagues, and all known associates and contacts are being sought. I appeal to any person who has met with Carmen in any capacity, to come forward to help us. They can be assured of full confidentiality when doing so. ”
“An area canvas of CBD locations she frequents is being made. All available CBD security surveillance footage that may be relevant to the enquiry is being sought and examined. There is a lot of ground to cover.”
“The public can play a vital role in this enquiry. We need sightings of Carmen Thomas or any information about the missing woman that will help us to locate her. We want to hear about any sightings of her Nissan Pulsar vehicle, with registration number ATS209,” said Mr. Benefield.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Operation KEPPEL team immediately on 0800 KEPPEL – 0800 537 735 – or call Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
