Rugby World Cup 2011 website for Christchurch

You'll find everything you need to know about Rugby World Cup 2011 in
Christchurch on a new website launched today by Christchurch Mayor Bob
Parker and Rugby New Zealand 2011 CEO Martin Snedden.

The new site - www.christchurchnz2011.com - has loads of information
about what is happening in and around the city in the lead-up to RWC
2011 and during the Tournament. There are special areas for residents,
visitors and business people and links to other city agencies.

With less than one year to go to the Tournament, Christchurch Mayor Bob
Parker says there is plenty happening in the city as Christchurch
prepares to host five pool matches and two quarter-finals.

"Our new website is a one-stop-shop for residents, visitors and business
people wanting to know more about RWC 2011 in Christchurch. We are
gearing-up to host thousands of international visitors during the
Tournament and it is an exciting time for us.

"Everyone wants to know what's happening as we get ready for RWC 2011 -
now you can head online and stay up-to-date with our preparations."

The site, developed by Christchurch-based NV Interactive, was created
for the city free-of-charge.

"This is an exceptional example of Christchurch working together for the
good of the city," Mr Parker says. "I would like to thank the team at NV
Interactive for their great work."

special ticket offer for Christchurch RWC 2011 matches from 15 November
2010. Residents and visitors will have one week to apply for tickets to
matches being held at Stadium Christchurch - tickets are limited and
will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Visit
