At 6.30 am on Sunday 26 December 2010, Police were called to an incident where two men were fighting on the corner of Riverbend Rd and Venables Ave Napier.

A man aged 19 years old was arrested for fighting and is helping Police with enquiries.

A second man left the scene and was located some time later by Police, after he sought medical treatment at a local Medical centre for a stab wound to his chest.

He is currently being treated at HB Hospital for a suspected punctured lung. His condition is stable.

Police enquiries are continuing and Police are seeking information from anybody who may have been in the area and witnessed the
