ANZ opens account for NZers to help Australian flood relief

ANZ New Zealand has opened an account at branches of the ANZ to take donations for the Australian flood relief.

"Our sympathies are with our neighbours across the Tasman and we know that New Zealanders are keen to help in any way they can," ANZ Chief Executive Officer David Hisco said today.

People can make a donation to the fund at any ANZ branch to the ANZ (NZ) Australian Floods Appeal at account number 01 1839 0224522 00 or via internet banking.

Donations to this account will be channeled to the New Zealand Red Cross for the Australian flood relief and donations over $5 will be eligible for tax rebates.

ANZ Group has donated $1 million in support of Queensland flood relief, along with a package of support for affected customers and staff.
