ANZ opens account for NZers to help Australian
flood relief
ANZ New Zealand has opened an
account at branches of the ANZ to take donations for the
Australian flood relief.
"Our sympathies are with our
neighbours across the Tasman and we know that New Zealanders
are keen to help in any way they can," ANZ Chief Executive
Officer David Hisco said today.
People can make a donation
to the fund at any ANZ branch to the ANZ (NZ) Australian
Floods Appeal at account number 01 1839 0224522 00 or via
internet banking.
Donations to this account will be
channeled to the New Zealand Red Cross for the Australian
flood relief and donations over $5 will be eligible for tax
rebates.
ANZ Group has donated $1 million in support of
Queensland flood relief, along with a package of support for
affected customers and
staff.
