Leading Fashion Retailers
Revealed as Part of
Botany Town Centre’s $6.5 Million
Precinct Upgrade
Botany Town Centre’s $6.5 million project to develop its Fountain Lane North precinct is progressing, with the centre preparing for the launch of an attractive fashion retail offer in October.
The centre will welcome fashion retailers Country Road, Veronika Maine and Blue Illusion, shirtmaker Nicholas Germyn and contemporary cosmetics brand MAC Cosmetics. In addition, Botany Town Centre’s Witchery store will be relocating to Fountain Lane North and expanding its offer to men’s, women’s and children’s fashion.
Renowned for its simple stylish, high-quality apparel, accessories and homewares, Country Road will open its fourteenth New Zealand store at Botany Town Centre and provide a full offer of man, woman, child and home.
Country Road Chief Executive Officer, Howard Goldberg, says Botany Town Centre is an appealing choice for the company. “A combination of factors appealed to Country Road, including the centre’s position in a rapidly developing eastern sector of Auckland and its continually expanding fashion offer. At approximately 450m2, customers will experience an inspiring, contemporary and beautiful store that will feature our new summer collection.”
MAC will open its eighth New Zealand store at Botany Town Centre this October. Boasting the latest New York-designed fit-out, the 89m2 store will reflect the artfully irreverent MAC attitude, house a team of well-trained MAC artists and showcase MAC’s lineup of trend-setting collections.
MAC brand general manager Oceania Jodie Matthews says, “It’s going to be a new and exciting venture for us to be broadening our reach within the Auckland region and being able to engage with Aucklanders outside the city fringe. We’re anticipating a great response.”
Botany Town Centre manager Andrew Wadsworth says, “Our shoppers love variety and we are thrilled to have attracted such a high calibre of leading fashion retailers to the centre. New retailers are always well-received and the timing of the opening means we will see new season collections and more selection for shoppers, just in time for Christmas and the warm summer months.”
The fashion precinct will also welcome the return of popular retailers Hartleys and Identity, while Loft Menswear has already opened its doors.
Founded in 2008, Loft sets itself apart from other menswear stores, offering a selection of New Zealand-made clothing, as well as American- and Italian-made products. In addition, Loft has tailoring and custom-made services, and stocks a wide selection of fabrics.
“Botany Town Centre offers a relaxed and comfortable shopping environment,” says founder and owner Jimmy Chen. “This is a good fit with the Loft brand and menswear style, which is easy-going and stylish. We look forward the official opening of Fountain Lane North when we will be positioned alongside some well-known, high-end brand boutiques.”
