Plane Crash Arrowtown 17/10/11

The two passengers who were involved in the fatal plane crash at Arrowtown yesterday remain in Dunedin Hospital today.

Tauranga pilot, 59 year old Ian Douglas SLOAN died at the scene.

A male aged 36 and a female aged 61 were transported to Lakes District Hospital in Queenstown before being airlifted to Dunedin Hospital.

The injured passengers remain in Dunedin Hospital, both with moderate injuries.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time and Civil Aviation (CAA) have commenced their investigation with a decision yet to be made on the timing of the aircrafts removal from the scene.
