Wellington Police continue hunt for three men with outstanding warrants to arrest

Wellington Police are continuing the hunt for three men wanted in connection to some serious assaults in the city in August this year.

Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Thornton of the Wellington CIB says Police, with the assistance of the Wellington District Armed Offenders Squad (AOS), executed a search warrant at an address in Rolleston Street, Mount Cook early this morning in relation to this investigation.

"We are still yet to locate 26 year old gang member Dean Wilson, and gang prospects 26 year old Lausii Taualupe and 19 year old Samuel Gray. These three men all have warrants for their arrest, are considered dangerous and should not be approached."

D/S/S Thornton says, "We know the trio is actively avoiding Police. We intend to visit a number of addresses of friends, associates and gang members within Wellington city in our search for them."

The warrants relate to a serious assault in Courtenay Place on 25 August, where a 19 year old was knocked unconscious, as well as two other serious assaults on 28 August.

"We urge anyone who knows where these three men are to contact Wellington Police as soon as possible on (04) 381 2000 or phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
