MOTAT Offers Free Ticket to
North Auckland Residents
North Auckland residents can look forward to free fun and interactive experiences at MOTAT this month.
From now until 30 November, North Auckland residents can gain free entry to MOTAT by presenting vouchers that will appear in local papers and letter boxes throughout the month, vouchers available at local libraries, or by displaying their rates bill or proof of address on entry.
MOTAT Museum Director Jeremy Hubbard says MOTAT prides itself on offering exciting and fresh exhibitions that bring New Zealand’s transport history to life.
“A great thing about MOTAT is that there is always something different going on. There are always new things to learn and explore.”
“We have something for every member of the family, whether it’s mum or dad interested in the magnificent new Aviation Display Hall, or the kids who can’t wait to jump into Voyager1 or explore the Tactile Dome.”
November is a great time to visit MOTAT with plenty happening. See MOTAT’s new RNZAF Skyhawk in the new multi-award winning Aviation Display Hall or enjoy MOTAT’s Third Sunday of the Month on 20 November where visitors can see MOTAT’s resident blacksmith at work, have mouth-watering fun with the lollymaker or take home a souvenir printed right here in the MOTAT printing press workshop.
What’s more, visitors can experience MOTAT's new interactive travelling exhibition ‘Playing with Light’, kicking off 21 November, and discover all about how light works and what it is used for. Kids and adults alike will love the inspiring travelling exhibition from Western Australia's leading science education institution 'Scitech' that challenges the way we think about light, offering over twenty exciting and scientific interactive displays.
North Auckland visitors can visit MOTAT for free when they present a voucher from their local newspaper or their letterbox, or proof of address. Residents from the North Shore and Rodney district groupings are eligible for free entry.
If residents have any queries about whether their suburb is eligible for free entry, they can find more information at www.motat.org.nz.
