Auckland: Changes to rubbish and recycling collections

16 January 2012

Changes to rubbish and recycling collections

Auckland Council is advising residents that, for two weeks commencing Monday 30 January, all its regular kerbside rubbish, recycling and paper collections will be one day later than usual due to the Auckland Anniversary and Waitangi Day public holidays. Rubbish bins and bags should be put out by 7am on the relevant day, along with recycling wheelie bins, if they are due to be emptied.

Auckland Council’s Solid Waste Business Unit Manager, Jon Roscoe, says the usual collection schedule will resume on Monday 13 February.

Residents who use private collection services are advised that they should contact their supplier(s) directly to obtain those providers’ schedules for Auckland Anniversary and Waitangi Day and the following week.
