Waitakere Police have arrested two adults and two juveniles after they used a knife to carry out a vicious assault on two young girls at Pukematakeo Summit in West Auckland on Friday.
The two female victims aged 14 and 15 years required hospital treatment for the injuries they received in the knife attack which took place at the summit in Scenic Drive, Swanson at about 5.45pm Friday 13 April 2012.
Their injuries are not considered life threatening.
The four offenders comprise three females and a male. They will appear in the Waitakere District Court today as a result of their alleged involvement in the incident.
Each has been charged with wounding with intent to injure.
Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to this incident. This enquiry has now been referred to the Youth Aid section for further investigation.
Accordingly no further comment will be made by police.
