Ranui Homicide Victim Named
Waitakere Police confirm that the victim of a homicide in Ranui West Auckland on Tuesday has died as a result of a gun shot wound.
A post mortem was carried out on the body of the deceased yesterday. The fatal wound was inflicted to the upper chest.
Police have identified the deceased victim as:

Fifita
DOB 7/2/1983 - Age 29 years

Ranui
A scene examination will continue at the Afton Place address today as will an area canvas of local residents. Police want anyone who lives in the Afton Place neighbourhood to contact them if they heard or saw any recent suspicious activity.
Waitematä Police Criminal Investigations Manager Detective Inspector Bruce Scott who is leading a large team of investigators says there’s a number of positive leads. He’s confident his staff will achieve an early and conclusive outcome in this investigation.
