Investigations continue into a motor vehicle
crash near Rolleston

At approximately 10.40am this
morning Police and emergency services attended a two-vehicle
crash at the intersection of Weedons Ross Road and Maddisons
Road.
One car with five occupants was travelling south on
Maddisons Road. A 4x4 vehicle with one occupant towing a
horse float was travelling north on Weedons Ross
Road.
Five ambulances and three response vehicles
responded to the incident. The Fire Service worked to help
free at least one person. Four people were taken to
Christchurch Hospital two in a serious condition and two
with moderate injuries.
Diversions will remain in place
until mid-to-late afternoon.
Canterbury Police Serious
Crash Unit attended the scene and investigations into the
cause of the crash are ongoing.
