"Fatal crash on SH1 south of Templeton"
SH1 Main South Road is currently closed between Dawsons Road and Weedons Ross Road following a fatal crash between a car and a truck at approximately 12.30pm today (24 November 2014).
The driver and sole occupant of the truck is reported to be uninjured however the driver and sole occupant of the car has been confirmed as deceased at the scene.
The death has been referred to the Coroner.
SH1 is likely to be closed for the at least the next two hours with diversions southbound from SH1/Dawsons Road onto Jones Road and northbound from SH1/Weedons Ross Road onto Jones Road.
Police investigations into the crash are continuing.
