Homicide Investigation - Otaihanga, Paraparaumu - Wellington
15 February 2015 Homicide Investigation Launched At about 1.45pm on Saturday 14 February 2015, Kapiti Police were called to a residential address at Otaihanga, north of Paraparaumu.
A middle aged woman was located deceased inside the address and a homicide investigation was launched. A 29 year old male, known to the victim, was located nearby and placed under arrest.
He is currently held in police custody and will appear in the Porirua District Court on Monday 16 February, charged with the victim's murder.
No other person is being sought by police.
The Otaihanga address is being guarded overnight and a full scene examination will commence later this morning.
A post mortem on the deceased's body is expected to take place on Monday.
