Police investigating death of 2-year-old

Police are investigating the death of 2-year-old Hawera
girl.
Emergency Services were called to a Hawera address at about 11pm on Friday 26 June, 2015.
Ambulance and Police attended the scene but were unable to revive the infant.
The family have been provided with Victim Support and are assisting Police.
Detective Senior Sergeant Brent Matuku says: “A 27-year-old Hawera male has been arrested in relation to the death and is assisting Police with enquiries."
The coroner has been notified and a post mortem was completed over the weekend.
Police are not seeking anyone else in connection with the death.
