Death in Waldronville, Dunedin - UPDATE

Dunedin Police have launched a homicide investigation after an incident at a Waldronville address last night where a woman was found deceased.

Police can confirm the woman as Vicki Lee Warington, aged 48, of Dunedin.

A 22 year-old male has been arrested in relation to the incident and is receiving medical care for a number of injuries.

Another male who was found outside the address is also being treated for injuries, however these are not life-threatening.

Around 20 investigators with other police staff and specialist teams, including ESR, are working on the case and will be commencing a scene examination today.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have recently visited or been in contact with the occupants of 349 Brighton Road, Waldronville, Dunedin.

Police would like to reassure the members of the Waldronville community that while there may be a heavy police presence, they should not be worried for their safety.

Police are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
