Police pursuit - Manukau

At 3.30 am this morning the premises of the Oteha Valley Liquor Centre, Oteha in Auckland was burgled.

Two cars were seen by a police marked unit shortly after the burglary and both vehicles refused to stop.

A police pursuit resulted in the vehicles separating at the Greenlane interchange with one of the cars continuing to be pursued.

This pursued car entered the South Western Motorway the wrong way at the Cavendish Road on-ramp at which time police abandoned the pursuit.

A short time later the car crashed in to the median barrier and both offenders ran from the vehicle.

No other vehicle was involved in the crash.

All offenders are yet to be located and items stolen from the liquor store were located in the vehicle.
