New Australian division for Herbert Insurance

June 2007: Herbert Insurance Group, a specialist broking firm and “Coverholder” at Lloyd’s of London has opened a division in Australia. Herberts provide advice and arrange and place Financial Lines Insurance, Commercial, Property, Liability, Motor, Directors and Officers Liability, Professional Indemnity, Marine, Life & Disability, Travel, Medical and Prize Indemnity insurance covers as well as Domestic and Residential Insurance.

Tony Christian, who has over 40 years in the Insurance industry, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, Herbert Insurance Group Limited, Australia. Tony has extensive global insurance experience including periods in New Zealand, London, Asia and the Pacific.

Based in Surfer’s Paradise, Queensland, Tony will both manage key existing Herberts trans-Tasman relationships and be responsible for the development of the Fire and General Insurance book in Australia - directly with customers and through strategic alliances with local brokers who wish to access the many Lloyd’s Facilities and International connections Herberts enjoy.
