Langham Lady Packages to Combat ‘Man Drought’

MEDIA RELEASE

Langham Lady Packages to Combat ‘Man Drought’

Become A Langham Lady

The Langham, Auckland will be this year’s knight in shining armour for single New Zealand women tired of hearing about the ‘man drought’. The five-star hotel will host The Langham Lady Afternoon Tea on Saturday 14 February, complete with its own Mr Darcy character as inspired by Jane Austen, and will also launch a range of new Langham Lady Packages at this time.

While the prospect of St Valentine’s Day on 14 February can fill people with delight, dread or total disinterest, for New Zealand Bridget Joneses or Carrie Bradshaws, this date is now one that can be celebrated with an inspiring Langham event. Indeed The Langham Lady experience is not only reserved for St Valentine’s Day.

“With often quoted and less-than-cheery statistics such as: ‘a 32-year old woman has as much chance of finding a partner her own age as an 82-year old,’ single New Zealand women are regularly reminded of this situation,” says Rachel Broadmore, Marketing and Communications Manager at The Langham.

“With The Langham Lady experience we are saying, enough is enough - starting with Valentines Day! If the ‘man drought’ does exist then there are indeed many lovely New Zealand women who will be at a loose end this 14 February. So why not celebrate yourself and your friends with a truly delightful experience and be pampered by The Langham,” says Miss Broadmore.

The Langham experience is often favoured for special occasions and as a treat because as soon as women, indeed all guests, step through the doors of the hotel they are treated like royalty.

“Alongside The Langham Lady Afternoon Tea, you can also be a Langham Lady by enjoying the five-star hotel during a shopping trip to Auckland for example or with a cheeky after work cocktail - and of course the enchanting Signature Afternoon Tea which is served daily. Basically, you can be a Langham Lady whenever it suits you,” says Miss Broadmore.

And of course being a Langham Lady is not just limited to ‘singletons’ as all women like to be treated well and pampered. “And that is what The Langham does best!” says Miss Broadmore.

The Langham Lady packages include:
- Langham Lady Afternoon Tea, Saturday 14 February: The Langham’s award winning Signature Afternoon Tea will be served with a complimentary Empress cocktail in the presence of a ‘Mr Darcy’. Afternoon tea is $30 per person or $56 for the Laurent-Perrier Champagne option. From 12 noon – 4.30pm.
- Langham Lady Evening Tipple: What better way to while away an evening? The especially designed Empress evening cocktail will be available to order and you will also receive a complimentary Chuan Spa lip balm. The exclusive Chuan Spa will open at The Langham in March but Langham Ladies will have the chance to sample Chuan Spa early with this offer.
- Langham Lady Stay Over: For Langham Ladies who are either from out-of-town and visiting the city, or for Auckland based Langham Ladies out-on-the-town and seeking a mini break in their own city, then why not savour a night’s stay in a luxury Langham room on either a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night with complimentary buffet breakfast?
